Shipping & Returns

Shipping is free in the UK for orders over £60.00!* Our shipping charges are as follows:

UK Shipping

£0 - £14.99 = £1.99

£15.00 - £59.99 = £4.50

These prices include VAT

£60 and over = FREE*

*Total purchases must be over £60.

For a delivery address in the UK, we use Royal Mail recorded delivery. Provided the goods are in stock, customers can expect delivery within 7 working days. However, a signature will be required upon receipt.

Shipping charges for the EU and the rest of the world are based on the size of the order and will be calculated by the shopping cart once you have entred your delivery address.


If the delivery address is outside the UK, we use the UK’s Royal Mail “International Signed-For” service. If in stock, goods will be dispatched within  3 to 4 working days. Please note that a signature will be required upon receipt of the goods. Customers should be advised that mail deliveries outside the UK may take up to 21 working days.

We will deliver the goods ordered by you to the address you give us for delivery at the time you make the order. However, please note that the delivery address of your first purchase must be the same as that which you registered with the online shop

We reserve the right to withhold delivery to any particular place or location at our sole discretion.

The risk in delivery of the goods passes to you on the commencement of supply or transportation to you or, where you will not accept supply on the date of delivery, to temporary storage arranged by us or the postal / courier service making the delivery.

Sales and Discontinued Items

Unless damaged during delivery, all items purchased on sale are not returnable. Discontinued items are not returnable.

What happens if goods are out of stock?
In the event that we do not have enough stock to complete your order, we will email or phone you to advise. You may wish to have your requested items back-ordered at that point, take part delivery or cancel the order. Please note that it can take between 10 and 28 days to re-stock from some of our suppliers. THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO ITEMS PURCHASED ON SALE OR DISCONTINUED.

Cancellation of an order
You have the right to cancel your order any time up and including seven days after delivery.

For a full refund, you must contact us in writing (by email or by letter, see below), but not by telephone, within seven days, and goods must be returned unopened and in a re-saleable condition. We do not accept returns on patterns and books.

You will be responsible for the original shipping costs, and the cost of returning the goods. We cannot be liable for returned goods which are lost or damaged in transit, so please ensure you use a recorded delivery service and insure the items for their value.

You will receive a cheque from us or a credit will appear on your credit or debit card. Please check the terms and conditions of your credit card company or bank to for information on their credit updates and policies.

What if you receive damaged goods?
Goods will be replaced if damaged during delivery. In the unlikely event that you receive damaged goods, please notify within 7 days of receipt and a replacement will be re-dispatched on return of faulty items.

We will happily reimburse any delivery costs incurred when returning damaged merchandise, and will send replacement merchandise at no cost to you.

Please include a description of the damage along with your details requested below. Failing such notice, the goods shall be deemed to be in accordance with these terms and conditions and you will be deemed to have accepted the goods and to be liable to pay for all and any charges therefor.


How to return goods to k1 Yarns Ltd.

Goods returned to k1 Yarns  Ltd. must be accompanied by a copy of the original receipt, order number, customer’s email address, phone number and delivery address. All goods should be sent recorded delivery, and must be insured for the full value of the contents. k1 Yarns Ltd. cannot be responsible for lost or uninsured packages.

When advising us of cancellation of an order, or that you received damaged goods, please email info@k1yarns.com, or write to the return address below. Send all returned goods to:

We cannot accept any returns from our online shop direct to our Edinburgh shop.


Cancellation by us
We reserve the right to cancel the contract between us if:
(a) we have insufficient stock to deliver the goods you have ordered
(b) we do not deliver to your area
(c) one or more goods you ordered was listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or an error in the pricing information received by us from our suppliers.

If we do cancel the contract we will notify you by email and will re-credit to your account any sum deducted by us from your credit card as soon as possible but in any event within 30 days of your order. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.
