Cake Shop Alert!!!
Tue 10th Jun 2008
so sweet it's wicked!
I just about broke my neck this morning as I was walking down Queen Margaret Drive towards K1 Yarns as I did a double take to check out the new CAKE SHOP that has just opened!!!
The Mannequin (www.themannequin.co.uk) has just opened today (and I have already purchased 2 pieces of cake. But one is for my son. OK I had a taste of his too, but just a small one). The shop is the sweetest wee cake shop that you have ever seen, decorated in a comfy cosy style with a few tables so that you can either eat in or take away. They have a selection of teas, coffees and hot chocolate too. And a full range of sandwiches and breakfast, if you must. But really you will just want the cake. Believe me!
And they love knitters!!!

Fyberspates Trunkshow at K1 Yarns!
Thanks to everyone who came to our Glasgow and Edinburgh shops last weekend to meet Jeni Brown and see her wonderful range of hand painted yarns! Loads of you lucky people walked away with one-of-a-kind yarns!
Jeni enjoyed meeting you so much that she is already asking if she can come back this autumn to show off her new winter ranges! YES PLEASE!!!!!
If you missed meeting Jeni last weekend, never fear. Both of our shops still have a great selection of Fyberspates yarns!
